The Great Balete Tree Trials are a series of twelve tests undertaken by a person inside the Great Balete Tree to become a Babaylan-Mandirigma.
Known Tests[]
Very little is known about the trials other that they are overseen by the Council of Babaylan.[1]
Anton Trese finished it in forty days and forty nights. Alexandra Trese finished in in twenty one days[1], though she got lost in the tree[2] and spent a total of three years there.[3]
The first of twelve tests was facing a tikbalang.[3] At some point in the Trials, sigils of power can be seen and learned.[4]
