A Dragon's Gate is a sigil used in the comic book series to achieve near-instantaneous transportation.

Characteristics[]

The circular sigil can be drawn on any surface, which then accesses the lei lines of the region. Lei lines, powered by the energy across different realms, provide paths for a willing or unwilling subject to be transported.[1] Only subjects who have or have ingested dragon's blood can access the sigil.[2]

A Dragon's Gate provides transportation to locations, which may even be far as other countries.[1] The sigil can also be used to access locations that exist outside physical reality, such as a world of a videogame.[3]

History[]

The dragon clans of Chinatown have mapped their businesses along the lei lines of Manila, naming their configuration "the path of the dragon". During this time, they developed the Dragon's Gate in order to directly access the lei lines as means for private transportation.[1]

Through the generosity of dragon families like the Gotianleung, non-dragon beings like the Trese family and their allies have been granted access to the sigil.[1]

Bantay escaped death at the hands of the Kambal through a Dragon's Gate inscribed on a bandana given to him by Carlos Trese.[4]

Alexandra Trese used a Dragon's Gate to reach Kenbhoy Calzada before he could blow up Araneta Coliseum. She also trapped Talagbusao in Eternos with the sigil, teleporting him from outside New Bilibid Prison into Jobert's computer in D&D's BattleGround.[3]

Carlos Trese used a Dragon's Gate to kill a Level 3 powered Rakuda by teleporting above him and cleaving his head.[5]
